June 10
Krista Johnson Memorial Run for Change. Held at Riverside Park. 2km walk/run; 5km run, 10km run and half marathon. Register with the Running Room.

June 12
Jason Blaine Celebrity Charity Concert. Tickets are $100. Pembroke’s own country music artist, Jason Blaine, performs his annual charity concert at the Pembroke Memorial Centre. Call 613-735-6821 x.1501.

June 15-16
Take Dad Downtown for Father’s Day to his favourite eatery or for some dad-day shopping. Free parking provided by Downtown Pembroke.

June 22
Relay For Life. Cancer changes everything. So can you. From 6pm to Midnight, the Pembroke Memorial Centre will host a countywide collection of people celebrating survivors and honouring those who have been lost. For info, call 613-735-2571.

June 29

July 1
Canada Day celebrations abound as the City and Downtown offer a day of fun, fireworks and entertainment. See www.pembroke.ca for the details. Free parking Downtown on July 1.

July 21
Lemonade Yoga Festival. Classes, vendors, and a peaceful day at the Waterfront await at this year’s Lemonade Yoga Festival organized by White Pine Yoga. Call 613-629-9642.

August 3-6
Enjoy the long weekend in Downtown Pembroke and park for free.

August 10-12
Upper Ottawa River Race and Paddle Festival kicks off on August 10th with kayak and SUP clinics, race registration and live entertainment on the beach by the bonfire. On Saturday, enjoy the kayak fishing derby and a day of races on the river. The festival wraps up on Sunday with Paddle For CHEO and the annual Heritage Paddle.

August 31-September 1
Pembroke Old Time Fiddling and Step Dancing Championships. Over $20,000 in prize money and trophies are awarded at this annual event. See the competition at the Pembroke Memorial Centre and stroll through Fiddle Park (Riverside Park) as it transforms into a musical showcase for the weekend. Call 613-584-3962.

September 8
Downtown Pembroke Patio Party. An afternoon event featuring some great music and the patios of our awesome restaurants in the Downtown. Plus, free parking.

September 29
Dr. Kim Armstrong Turkey Trot. 5km and 10km races for adults and kids. Run happens Downtown.

October 27
The Zombie Thrill Run. A pre-Halloween fun run for kids and adults along the Ottawa River in Pembroke.

Regular Events

Waterfront Live
Come out to the Riverwalk Amphitheatre in Pembroke along the shores of the Ottawa River for a series of local performers every night from June 16 to August 31. 7:00pm. Free to attend. See www.pembroke.ca for details.

Pembroke Farmers’ Market
The Pembroke Farmers’ Market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 8:00am-1:00pm. Local farmers and crafters bring their fresh food and handmade wares to the farmers’ market. Open from the May long weekend until Thanksgiving.

Movie Nights
Every Tuesday night in July and August is Movie Night in the Park presented by Bogie’s Bar. Movies are shown at 9:00pm at the Riverwalk Amphiteatre at the Pembroke Waterfront. Call 613-735-6821 x.1502 for details. See www.pembroke.ca for a list of upcoming movies to be shown.

Museums & Heritage
Take in the Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village, the Murray L. Moore Hydro Museum or take a stroll around Pembroke for the self-guided Mural Tour. We have plenty of stories to share!
