May 10, 11
Downtown Connect Your Community Expo, come out and enjoy exhibitors from across the Ottawa Valley, check out demonstrations, listen to live music and enjoy activities for the kids.

May 23 
Downtown Shop Hop spring edition, come enjoy an evening of shopping and dinning in Downtown Pembroke.

June 9
Krista Johnson Memorial Run for Change. Held at Riverside Park. 2km walk/run; 5km run, 10km run and half marathon. Register with the Running Room.

June 21
Relay For Life. Cancer changes everything. So can you. From 6pm to Midnight, the Pembroke Memorial Centre will host a countywide collection of people celebrating survivors and honouring those who have been lost. For info, call 613-735-2571.

July 1
Canada Day celebrations abound as the City and Downtown offer a day of fun, fireworks and entertainment. See for the details. Free parking Downtown on July 1.

July & August
Kids Pop up Market, join us every Friday from 11 A.M. – 2 P.M. in Shamrock park where locale young entrepreneurs will be selling their homemade items, busking and showing off their talents.

July 25
Downtown Shop Hop summer edition, come enjoy an evening of shopping and dinning in Downtown Pembroke.

August 9-11
Upper Ottawa River Race and Paddle Festival kicks off on August 10th with kayak and SUP clinics, race registration and live entertainment on the beach by the bonfire. On Saturday, enjoy the kayak fishing derby and a day of races on the river. The festival wraps up on Sunday with Paddle For CHEO and the annual Heritage Paddle.

August 26-September 2
Pembroke Old Time Fiddling and Step Dancing Championships. Over $20,000 in prize money and trophies are awarded at this annual event. See the competition at the Pembroke Memorial Centre and stroll through Fiddle Park (Riverside Park) as it transforms into a musical showcase for the weekend. Call 613-584-3962.

September 5
Downtown Pembroke Shop Hop and Patio Party. Come enjoy and evening of shopping, dinning and live entertainment An afternoon event featuring some great music and the patios of our awesome restaurants in the Downtown. Plus, free parking.

September 28

Downtown Funk. Come enjoy live music, dancing, food vendors, photo booths, street performances, and more at Downtown Funk 2019. The event is free for all!

September 29
Dr. Kim Armstrong Turkey Trot. 5km and 10km races for adults and kids. Run happens Downtown.

October 21-25

Small business week. Small business week will be being celebrated through a variety of events. There will be many opportunities to learn, network, eat good food, and to connect with the community!

October 26

Pumpkin Treats. Trick-or-treat your way through our Downtown Pembroke businesses. Grab some treats and check out all the amazing shops and services available in the heart of the city. There will also be pumpkin painting and decoration activities!

October 27
The Zombie Thrill Run. A pre-Halloween fun run for kids and adults along the Ottawa River in Pembroke.

November 24
The Santa Claus Parade of Lights in Downtown Pembroke. Starts at 5:30pm. Enjoy the Downtown in the holiday season. Free to attend.

November 29 and 30

Downtown Pembroke Shop the Neighbourhood. Shop local and save big during our annual Shop the Neighbourhood event! Check out participating businesses and their exclusive deals during this event.

November 26- December 18

Shop Downtown Pembroke this Christmas season and you could win the Downtown Pembroke Christmas Tree Draw! With every $10 purchase or appointment at participating businesses between Nov. 26 & Dec. 18, get a stamp on your Tree Draw passport. Once you reach $100, you’ll be entered into the draw to win!

Museums & Heritage
Take in the Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village, the Murray L. Moore Hydro Museum or take a stroll around Pembroke for the self-guided Mural Tour. We have plenty of stories to share!

Culture & The Arts
Festival Hall is the region’s performing arts centre with plenty of shows booked throughout the year. Visit: to see what’s coming this way during the year. Tickets are easy to access and we look forward to welcoming you.

Waterfront Live (June-August)
Come out to the Riverwalk Amphitheatre in Pembroke along the shores of the Ottawa River for a series of local performers every night from June 16 to August 31. 7:00pm. Free to attend. See for details.

Pembroke Farmers’ Market (May-October)
The Pembroke Farmers’ Market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 8:00am-1:00pm. Local farmers and crafters bring their fresh food and handmade wares to the farmers’ market. Open from the May long weekend until Thanksgiving.

Movie Nights (July-August)
Every Tuesday night in July and August is Movie Night in the Park presented by Bogie’s Bar. Movies are shown at 9:00pm at the Riverwalk Amphitheatre at the Pembroke Waterfront. Call 613-735-6821 x.1502 for details. See for a list of upcoming movies to be shown.
